Easter 2024

This easter we are focusing on John’s words in 1 John 3v16 “this is how we know what love is, Jesus Christ laid down his life for us”.

In chapter 4 he writes, “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” When we look at the cross we are meant to see love. At our Maundy Thursday event we looked at this through different windows – different verses of scripture and how they speak of the cross. You can read the different verses and thoughts below. We also used the image of flowers - of a rose – a symbol and reminder of love to help us ponder the both the love of God and the way in which our hearts respond with affection to him. The poem, and meditation, and song here are all designed to help with that end. We hope that you are encouraged as you engage with these things this weekend, our prayer is that as we see more clearly the depth of God’s love for us, it would also be like breath upon the embers of our own hearts affection for him.

Reflection Space - Good Friday 29 March

We’ll be open all day for you to drop in for a moment of quiet reflection as we remember Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross on Good Friday.

Easter Sunday 31 March, 09:30, 11:15 and 19:00

Our morning services will be Family Services, where we’ll come together to celebrate Easter and give thanks for Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection. Then in the evening we will have an easter themed service.

Easter Gatherings - Easter Weekend

The Easter long weekend presents a great opportunity to invest in community and relationships as a church family. Over the weekend a number of small groups, families, and other groups will be arranging walks/picnics/park visits and other activities all across the county.
