Youth

Trent Youth is about equipping young people to live in the reality of the Kingdom of God.
We are passionate about seeing young people worshipping God with their lives and showing love and compassion towards others. We believe that the best way to do all this is through genuine relationships, so we spend lots of time hanging out and having fun.
Right now, we are in an exciting chapter, having recently moved to the brand new Trent Youth Centre. This boasts a sports hall, cafe, climbing wall, dance studio and loads of other cool facilities and equipment. Our new home is allowing us to transform the scale and quality of youth work we that we can offer to our church and our city.

Sundays
Trent Youth AM (Year 7-9) 10.30 AM at Trent Youth Centre.
Trent Youth AM is a mixture of games, worship, ministry, hanging out and spending time with God. Each week we focus on building positive relationships, looking at the Bible and discussing what Jesus has to say about the way we live our lives. Older youth are welcome in the mornings too, but the event is mainly for those in school years 7-9.
Youth Service (Years 10 – 13) 7 PM at Trent Youth Centre
Youth Service is a place where older youth can gather, worship God, learn about Him and pray for one another. Moving into the Youth Centre has transformed Youth Service as we are able to meet in an environment that has been designed for young people with a full band, great PA, relaxing cafe and comfy beanbags (!) There is plenty of time in the evening for hanging out, building relationships and eating cheese toasties!

Tuesdays
On Tuesdays during school terms Trent Youth is open for a mixture of small groups, mentoring groups, activities and workshops. Doors open at 7 PM, activities go on until 9PM and youth are collected between 9 and 9.30 PM.
The cafe is open and there is a chance to chill out or get stuck into an activity of your choice. During the evening there are also a variety of small group sessions for 15 – 18’s and mentoring group sessions for 11 – 14’s. These groups provide a mid-week chance to build deeper relationships, take time out and focus on discipleship.
The sports area offers activities such as football, basketball and uni-hoc, whilst the workshops change on a weekly basis and might include climbing on our indoor wall, art, dance, building, baking, craft, music and film.

Events
Each year we have an amazing time at residential trips like, ‘The Trent Youth Weekend Away, 'Dreaming the Impossible' and 'Soul Survivor'. They are always great opportunities to have fun meeting with God, building friendships and pushing the curfew boundaries!
There are lots of other things going on throughout the year. Contact us at the church office or email us at youth@trentvineyard.org for the latest programme.

The Grid (Sneinton)
The Grid is a vibrant youth group in Sneinton run by a team from Trent Vineyard. The Grid aims to give young people (12 - 16 year olds) an exciting, stimulating and safe environment to build relationships with each other and the team.
The Grid meets on Friday Evenings (Fortnightly) at 7:30-9:30 PM in the building next to St Christopher’s Church, Trent Road, Sneinton. Activities include table football, pool, play station, sports, a chill out room, games, table tennis, a tuck shop. We also arrange a number of socials throughout the year.
Trent Youth Centre
Trent Youth Centre is our purpose built space for young people. It exists to express the love of God for young people in Nottingham by facilitating activities and personal investment, helping to transform lives and a have a positive impact on society.
The centre features a large auditorium with a modern multi-media setup as well as a sports area with a sports floor. There is a dance studio, climbing wall, café and numerous multi-purpose breakout rooms. The centre is regularly used by the young people in the church and also to further the youth provision throughout the city. It also presents opportunities for other organisations such as schools, colleges and those seeking to invest in the lives of young people throughout the city to partner with Trent Vineyard in a varied range of youthwork.
It is very much our hope that the Youth Centre will add value to the youth provision in Nottingham by accommodating activities which will invest in youngsters lives, where those activities would be constrained without the venue.

TLG
TLG Nottingham is a school based at the Trent Youth Centre. It was set
up for young people who are at a crisis point in their education. This means that we work with young people from a variety of situations, including young people who are at risk of exclusion or who have been excluded from school.
Our vision is for children and young people to reach their full potential by receiving support, holistic education and personal development. We are greatly helped in this, by being able to use the facilities of the Centre.
