MAKING A REFERRAL

Clients can access The Arches Project by obtaining a written referral letter from a supporting organisation they already have a connection with. Referral letters can be written by a number of agencies including a social worker, health service staff member or support worker from a housing agency or children’s service. Referral letters should be written on the organisation’s headed paper and must include the client’s name (and the names of any other family members requiring assistance), contact details (including telephone number and postcode), a brief outline of why help is required and a list detailing what is needed.

Key workers and support staff may also bring their clients directly to The Arches Project. We will carry out a straightforward assessment to ascertain how we can most appropriately and effectively help the client.

In addition to Thursday and Saturday morning sessions, we are also open Tuesday afternoons for clients accompanied by their key worker. The key worker must make a prior appointment to access this service. To make an appointment, please telephone The Arches Project during opening hours.

DONATIONS & COLLECTIONS

We are continually grateful for donations of furniture, good quality clothing, bedding, household items and electrical goods. However, we cannot accept gas or electric cookers.

Please ensure that all soft furnishings have a fire retardant label or are under 20 years old.

All donations of furniture should be taken directly to The Ark on the Trent Vineyard site on Thursday or Saturday between 10.30am and 12.30pm (during term-time only).

If you are unable to bring large items of furniture to The Ark yourself, please give us a call on 0115 950 8774 and we will try to arrange a collection. Please note that we only collect from the Nottingham and Greater Nottingham area.

HOW TO VOLUNTEER

If you are a member of Trent Vineyard and would like to volunteer at The Arches Project, please contact Hannah Buck. Hannah will arrange a time for you to visit, have a tour of the Arches and try out a couple of teams. We hope that this will give you the opportunity to see what we do at the Arches and help you to decide whether you would like to volunteer on a more regular basis.
