Acts of Compassion: our response to the Coronavirus crisis
How can I help?
Thank you so much for all your donations of food so far. Due to an amazing new partnership with Love Your Neighbour and a grant we have received to buy food, we no longer require food donations, however we still very much need toiletries and cleaning products.
Please shop responsibly from this list and only add one or two of each item.
Toiletries: Deodorant / Toilet paper / Shower gel / Shampoo / Toothbrushes / Toothpaste / Sanitary towels / Tampons / Hand Lotion
Household: Washing up liquid / Anti-bacterial surface spray / J-cloths / Liquid laundry detergent / Toilet cleaner / Hand wash / Fabric Softener
Baby supplies: Nappies (sizes 4,5 and 6) / Baby wipes
Click here to download a PDF version of this list. Our request may be updated as the need changes, so please check back here regularly.
Dropping it off
We’re taking social distancing seriously and there is a one-way system in place that allows you to stay safe. Please come to The Arches building during these hours, and use the Youth Centre gates on Lenton Lane.
Monday: 09:00 - 12:00
Tuesday: 09:00 - 12:00
Thursday: 09:00 - 12:00
Friday: 09:00 - 12:00
We understand that there are those who would like to donate but are unable to drop donations off for a variety of reasons. If this is the case, please email [email protected], telling us which area you live in and we will be in touch.
What are we doing?
Food Distribution Hub
We are partnering with Hope Nottingham and volunteers are sorting and distributing food to foodbanks across Nottingham. Watch this short clip.
Supporting the NHS and Key Workers
We are donating refreshments to our local hospitals and health and social care providers so busy staff can grab a quick drink or snack. Watch this short clip.
Supporting the Homeless
We are providing food and toiletries for the homeless.
Many people are feeling anxious and lonely, and our volunteers are contacting those who have asked for support.
Are you isolated or feeling vulnerable? Would you like to be contacted by our team via telephone? If yes, please fill out the form below:
