Our Story

Trent Vineyard began in the summer of 1996 when we moved to start a new church in Nottingham. It has now grown to be a large and vibrant church that is committed to serving the city.

Before coming to Nottingham, we helped start SW London Vineyard, the first Vineyard in the UK, under the leadership of John and Eleanor Mumford.

The first Trent Vineyard meetings took place with just a small group of people who were excited about the vision of what God wanted to build. From the beginning, small groups brought people together in one another’s homes to care for each other and be a blessing to their local communities. The main meetings soon outgrew the original venue, and within 2 months we moved to Notts County Football Club. Caring for those in need, prison ministry, and serving the homeless soon became a major focus.

Within 3 years our weekend services quickly expanded to a few hundred people and by 1999 we were scouring Nottingham to find a larger venue. Then came the opportunity to acquire land and build what has now become known as 'The Warehouse'. Our facilities have expanded to now include a 15,000 sq ft Youth and Training centre and 25,000 sq ft unit for Compassion Ministries.

We are so excited about serving the city and each other and seeing people coming to faith. If you would like to find out more then we’d love to invite you to one of our Newcomers' Meals where we share more of our story over a delicious meal.
