What is the Discipleship Year?

Discipleship Year (formerly ZŌÉ) is a year set apart to pursue Jesus—worshipping Him, seeing Him rightly, and being transformed through deep discipleship. It’s a journey of serving others, personal growth, and learning to follow Jesus, all within a vibrant community of young adults (ages 19-34).

The Headline Details

Interested in joining for the Discipleship Year 2025/26? Here's what you need to know:

How long is it? From Monday 15th September 2025 to Monday 6th July 2026.

What's the weekly time commitment? The Discipleship Year is part-time. You'll be with us every Monday, Tuesday and Sunday.

▪️ Mondays: Our Community Day with worship, teaching, and deep discipleship.

▪️ Tuesdays: Ministry Stream Day with hands-on serving and investment in a ministry area (Trent Kids, Trent Youth, Students & Young Adults, Trent Compassion, Newcomers & Evangelism, Production & Media or Worship).

▪️ Sundays: A chance to serve and be part of creating a space where others can encounter Jesus.

Are there any other commitments? Alongside Mondays, Tuesdays, and Sundays, you'll also:

▪️ Be part of a Small Group for community and discipleship.

▪️ Assist in midweek ministries (depending on your Ministry Stream) such as Alpha or Trent Youth Tuesdays.

▪️ Serve at key events like the Vineyard Leaders' Gathering and Cause to Live For.

Is there a cost? No! Discipleship Year is completely free. However, you'll need to support yourself financially as we don't provide accommodation.

Is there any pastoral support? Absolutely. From day one, you’ll be connected with a number of leaders all seeking to invest in you.

Finally, what will I get out of it? By the end of the year, you’ll:

✅ Grow in hearing Jesus’ voice and walking in His love.

✅ Learn to lay your life down in service to others.

✅ Be equipped to follow Jesus for the long haul.
